RYA Radar Training Course

Radar systems are now to be found aboard most powerboats, and many yachts. However, a radar used incorrectly can provide very misleading information and is potentially dangerous.

The one day Radar course is suitable for powerboats or sailors who would like to know more about the use of small craft radar. The basic use and operation of radar is presented, as well as the use of radar for collision avoidance and as an aid to navigation. A technical background, or previous radar experience are not required.

 A RYA course completion certificate will be awarded at the end of the day.
