Intermediate Training - Day Cruising Course

Assumed knowledge: knowledge to level two standard
Course duration: two days (0900 - 1700)
Minimum age: 16*
Next course: Safety Boat or Advanced

The aim of the intermediate course is to teach Powerboating skills and techniques to help students complete short coastal passages in daylight. It is helpful if students have some background in navigation, though we will teach coastal and tidal navigation. We recommend that students hold a valid first aid certificate and VHF radio operator's certificate. The highlight of the course will be a coastal passage where students are responsible for planning the passage, navigation and driving the boat, all under the guidance of an expert instructor. * Under 18s are very welcome on powerboat courses, however 16-17 year olds must have their booking form countersigned by a parent or guardian.
