Some advantages of the Pantaenius Yacht
Insurance Scheme
1. Yacht Hull Insurance
- Unique cover; recognised in the Yachting Press as "probably the best
available" and backed by acclaimed standards of service.
- Rig failure is covered as an insured risk in its own right.
- Engine and gearbox damage, due to failure of parts, in vessels up to
5 years old is covered as standard.
- Cover for breakage of shafts, struts and propellers.
- If an insured accident occurs because of a failure of any part, for
whatever reason, the damage is covered (but not the failed part).
- Cover for 12 months in commission.
- When abroad a contribution towards emergency accommodation or
repatriation if the boat is rendered uninhabitable due to an insured
peril.
- Unplanned departures from the stipulated cruising area are held
covered.
- Salvage and wreck removal costs are covered in addition to any claim
for damage.
2. Separate Third Party Liability Insurance
- No deductible in the event of a claim.
- Covers Third Party damage and personal injury caused by the insured
or anyone using the yacht with his permission.
- Includes claims against the insured by others on board.
- Includes water pollution cover.
- Includes financial loss cover.
- Includes the use of associated tenders/dinghies.
