Britannia are pleased to offer a variety of holiday
cruises and miles builder cruises. These are a great way to spend a
longer period on board one of our modern, fully-equipped yachts, under
the guidance of an experienced and qualified skipper.
Channel Islands
Mile Builder
A 9 day mile builder trip from the English East Coast
to
Channel Islands and back. We aim to
cover plenty of miles with some long passages through the varied sailing
areas of the East Coast and
English Channel. Some of the passages
will be over 24 hours and will involve the crew in a full watch system.
This trip is suitable for sailors of Coastal Skipper or equivalent level
looking to build miles, obtain Yachtmaster Qualifying passages and
experience extended cruising.

Dutch cruises/Miles
Builder
Our seven day cruises are always popular. They are a great
opportunity to gain additional experience and more sea time in
preparation for a RYA/MCA certificate, or to simply sit back and enjoy
relaxed cruising through the picturesque Flemish countryside.
The Miles Builder cruise is suitable for anyone wishing to learn
about coastal navigation and offshore sailing as well as pilotage and
passage planning. The RYA Coastal
Skipper practical certificate may be completed whilst on board. The
aim of the miles builder is to spend as much time at sea as practically
possible, ensuring you get plenty of experience in the time available.
Destinations include the coastal ports of France, Belgium and Holland.
 The
Dutch Cruise has a more relaxed pace. The itinerary is always dependent
on the weather, tides and strength of crew, however you can expect to
complete two offshore passages and to spend some time cruising the quiet
canals and inland seas of the Holland.
The cruises take place on our larger yachts, and accommodation and
meals are provided on board. Wet weather clothing is available if
required. A professional instructor will be on board throughout ensuring
that you receive the best possible training and supervision. All you
need is a sleeping bag, a passport, some money for souvenirs and
postcards and a desire to learn and have fun!
Both cruises involve coastal and offshore sailing and so may not be
suitable for the novice sailor. Please contact us if you would like
advice on the most suitable cruise or training course.

North France
Cruise
A 9 day cruise from the English East Coast to
Northern France and back, visiting ports along the French coast from
Boulogne to Honfleur. This
trip will suit sailors of Day Skipper or equivalent level looking to
build experience on longer passages and visit foreign ports. There will
be some long days and night sailing together with shorter passages and
time to explore ashore.
